Cyient Foundation & ICT Academy: Empowering 2,000 Future Entrepreneurs in Telangana & Andhra Pradesh

June 21, 2025

Cyient Foundation, the philanthropic arm of Cyient Ltd., has teamed up with ICT Academy to launch a special year‑long entrepreneurship program in Telangana and Andhra Pradesh, targeting students from engineering, arts, and science colleges. The main goal? Build skills and confidence in young people from smaller towns (tier‑2 and tier‑3), preparing them to start their own businesses.

📅 Three‑Stage Development Journey

  1. Awareness Stage
All 2,000 students participate in introductory sessions. These classes spark interest in entrepreneurship and explain what it takes to run a business—from spotting opportunities to handling basic finances.

  2. Training Stage
From the original group, 1,000 students are selected for intensive, hands‑on training. These sessions include workshops, practical tasks, and project work, teaching participants about business planning, teamwork, and problem-solving.

  3. Mentorship Stage
The top 100 students from the training phase receive two months of close support. Each student gets paired with experienced mentors who guide them on critical topics like fundraising, following regulations, shaping leadership skills, and developing go‑to‑market plans.

Why It Matters

  • Boosting Local Talent:
By focusing on smaller cities and towns, the program brings valuable training and resources to areas that often lack such opportunities.

  • Industry‑Relevant Learning:
Cyient associates (employees) will act as guest facilitators and mentors, offering real-world insights and strengthening ties between students and industry.

  • Building New Startups:
The program aims to help launch at least 100 student-led ventures. These new businesses have the potential to create local jobs and help the broader economy grow.

Voices from the Program

Long‑Term Impact

  • Creating Job Opportunities: Local enterprises started by students can strengthen regional economies.

  • Sustainable Growth: Entrepreneurs who remain socially conscious can contribute responsibly.

  • Future Ripple Effect: Successful students may mentor and inspire others, building a culture of innovation.
